(To be honest, my daughters are all "creators" as well, so a studio would be a well-used and worthwhile endeavor for my family. And they're in on the dream -- whenever we wax poetic about our dream houses, the girls always include a studio for mom. They're good like that.)
Anyway, Christina over at Greige posted this lovely picture of a studio she found in Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles.
When I saw this, right away I thought, this is pretty close to perfect. Okay, instead of a cat there would be my big loveable mutt laying at my feet, and the walls would be painted Benjamin Moore Wasabi green (I'm just not an all-white girl, I have to have color), and I'd have fewer baskets, I think. But, yeah, other than that, this is my dream studio. *sigh*

Yes, I agree, it's pretty close to perfection. It's my dream to live in a huge crafty old warehouse with a studio tucked into the north corner...sigh, sigh!

DeleteHi Anne-Marie,
DeleteYou are the first person ever to post a comment on my new blog! Thanks so much, I'm glad you stopped by! I promise more -- especially more studios -- soon, so come back and take another look.

That is a great studio space, however it just seems too organized and perfect. For all the studio spaces I have worked in they never seem to look this perfect...and there is something nice about them being "lived in".
ReplyDeleteLove the drop pendants above the central table and all the natural light - so key when you are looking at fabrics and finishes!
Yes, Anna, I totally agree with you about studios that look "lived in". In real life, if I had a studio, it would *never* look this neat and perfect. Unless, of course, I had just cleaned it up for a photo shoot, lol! Thanks for taking the time to look at my new blog, and thanks for commenting! I promise more will come soon (I'm still getting the hang of this! =D)
